MXG: built for girls During the dot com heyday, our client needed an online presence to add a face to their magalog for girls. CenterFIELD9 helped develop a community web site for the company which boasted over 300,000 members. The web site contained all dynamic content with polls, bulletin boards, and quizzes geared toward Generation Y teens. CenterFIELD9 help set up the three load balanced Windows NT Servers at the Exodus cage in El Segundo, California. To ensure 24/7 uptime, two clustered Microsoft SQL Servers sharing a 5 disk RAID level 5 array were used. We also developed the main site and the entirely web-based back end. Editors posted content on a secure section of the site and scheduled it for future dates. All pages were programmed in ASP for the Microsoft IIS platform. CenterFIELD9 was also central to bringing MXG's e-commerce site inhouse. The MXG Store brought the company's paper-based catalog to life and generated over a quarter million dollars in its first month in operation. |
